Webinar March 12 – Where Women Lead, Forests Thrive
Celebrate International Women's Day with Grow Ahead and Louise Topé, the founder of KANY Scoops! KANY is a women-led cocoa cooperative in Ivory Coast focused on empowering women through agroforestry projects and leadership opportunities. Since August 2024, Grow Ahead has been collecting funds for a KANY project that will establish community dynamic agroforestry model farms and plant 35,000 trees. The purpose of these model farms is to encourage farmers to shift their farming practices to more regenerative methods that will enhance climate resilience and diversify income sources.
During this webinar, we'll hear from Louise about how KANY's women-focused model is changing lives and revolutionizing the cocoa sector in West Africa. We'll also dive into WHY organizations like KANY are so important with regard to the current cocoa crisis and how individuals can support their work.
Join us on March 12th at 9a PT / 11a CT / 12p ET. Register today!
Meet our Speaker, Louise Topé
Louise Topé is an Ivorian mother of 6 and an agronomist with more than 15 years of experience in agriculture certification and development of rural areas. Throughout her career she has been touched by the conditions of rural women and concerned by the lack of commitment from operators. These and other factors inspired Louise to found KANY Scoops in 2016. KANY is a 100% women-led cocoa cooperative with a focus on transparency, fairer supply chains, quality cocoa, and women's empowerment.
