Webinar | La Via Campesina (LVC), Campesino a Campesino, and the Latin American Institute of Agroecology (IALA) Guarani
La Via Campesina, the global alliance of 200 million peasant farmer families, has been at the forefront of the global “massification” or scaling out of agroecology. Key to this effort is the development of Latin American Institute of Agroecology (IALA) schools which focus on farmer to farmer training and popular education. IALA Guarani is a leading force towards food sovereignty in Paraguay.
On this webinar, we will hear from Peter Rosset, LVC and professor at Colegio de la Frontera Sur-ECOSUR in Chiapas, Mexico. Peter will discuss the history of the Campesino a Campesino movement, LVC’s IALA program and the massification of agroecology.
