ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Master’s in Agroecology (MAE) at El Colegio de la Frontera Sur (ECOSUR), Mexico, trains professionals to accompany agri-food system transformation. Based on participatory action research and knowledge dialogues, the MAE goes beyond theory to promote collective action. The program has already made a tangible impact through the 11 projects developed by its first cohort of students with support from GrowAhead.
The second cohort represents a vibrant mosaic of experiences and struggles. By supporting this collective campaign, you will not only help train 10 young agroecologists; you will directly support 10 concrete projects already underway. These include defending Zoque territory in Oaxaca, agroecological transitioning in Guerrero’s mountains, healing historical wounds in Yucatán, land struggles in Brazil, and women protecting Colombia’s páramos through agroecology. Their projects seek to develop tools for transformation born from real community needs and capabilities.
